Wayanad is a tourist district. Weekends, long holidays and the monsoon season bring families and groups from Kozhikode, Malappuram, Bengaluru and Mysuru, and roadside restaurants in Kalpetta, Sulthan Bathery, Mananthavady and the towns between them go from quiet to full in an hour. On weekdays the same outlet may run with half the staff.
DinesMenu fits that pattern. When the rush comes, guests scan the QR on the table and order on their own phone, so a small team can serve many more tables. Orders appear on the kitchen display and a KOT prints automatically. When it is quiet, waiters take orders on the DinesMenu app as usual. The cashier prints the bill in one tap, and the owner sees the day in the sales report.
Tourists also order from menus they do not know. Food photos, categories and veg or non-veg filters help a visiting family choose without asking the waiter about every dish, and the Call Waiter button brings staff to the table when they need help.
